Marcus Rashford: Feeding Britain's Children
Job-losses caused by the pandemic have exacerbated an already stark hunger problem in highly unequal Britain where 22% of people and 30% of children live in poverty despite it being the sixth-richest country in the world by GDP.In Greater Manchester, around 200,000 children experience poverty, and food bank use is higher than in most other areas. U.K.
In my reportage for NZZ am Sonntag one of Swiss major daily newspapers I documented the journey of striker Marcus Rashford and captured the people & communities of Manchester.Rashford now helped raise £20 million for a charity which provides free food to children.
